Transgender people are the individuals who are either born with or opt to differ from the sex they were assigned at birth.  In some cases it is something one cannot control and in others it is a personal inclination.  Nevertheless, in some point in their lives they face some sort of discrimination.

What transgender individuals have to go through on a day to day basis is unimaginable for the rest of the binary gender people.  And despite the publicity and awareness that has sprouted for them in recent years the discrimination against them continues especially in the workplace.  This led us to research further and identify the intensity of the problem.  We found out that the issue is present in places such as, the United States, Japan, China, and Pakistan.  The issue exists in other areas but we focused our research on these areas.

We were able to classify where the difficulties were faced into three categories, hiring discrimination, workplace abuse, bathroom identity crisis.  In Pakistan, all of us had seen the type of discrimination that transgender individuals face on the streets and we wanted to see whether it was the same case in a workplace setting
