Washroom Access Discrimination
“You are different, you are unworthy, you do not belong here.”

At first glance the issue of which restroom a transgender individual should use may seem insignificant. In comparison to the other problems that transgender people face this challenge appears as a small one however when the discrimination gets out of hand and employees are threatened and attacked for being who they are the unfairness should be given attention. And in most cases the discrimination is not dealt with by the employer.

Us binary individuals will not be able to feel their pain but it does exist and it happens often. Such as when trans employees are made fun of for using the restroom that is in proportion to their identity, each time they exit a bathroom stall and are jeered at by fellow employees.

Despite their rights being condemned at work employers can take a stance and with a few simple steps help make their workplace a more trans-friendly one.
